Tenses

 
Present Perfect Tense
 Present perfect tense is used to express that something happened  (or never happened)n before now, at an unspecified time in the past. The exact time is not important. Accompanied by for or since, the present perfect expresses a situation that began in the past and continuous to the present.

v  Past Continous Tense
Past continuous tense is used to express a progressive event or action in the past.
Pattern : S + Was/Were + Verb-ing

Example :
1. I was working
2. You were buying the vegetables
